They also have the possibility to possess building qualifications to design and control construction works – in line with the provisions of the Construction Law and the Regulation of the Ministry onperforming independent technical functions in the construction industry – after implementing vocational internship and passing an exam at the Regional Selection Committee of the Regional Construction Engineers Chamber on the knowledge of the legal regimes connected with the construction proceedings and abilities of technical knowledge practical application.
FIRST CYCLE STUDIES
The programme lasts 7 semesters both in the daily full – time mode – S (on site) and in part – time mode – NS (extramural) and it is completed with a diploma work defence.
The graduates obtain a Bachelor degree.
The basic educational contents involve e.g.: mathematics, physics, chemistry, and theoretical mechanics.
The educational contents of the field of study cover among others: construction materials, strength of materials, building mechanics, soil mechanics and foundations, building physics, general construction, concrete installations, metal installations, technology and organization of building proceedings.

SECOND CYCLE STUDIES
The programme lasts 3 semesters both in the daily full – time mode - S (on site) and in the part – time mode – NS (extramural) and it is completed with a defence of a diploma work.
The graduates obtain a Master’s degree.
Basic educational content includes among others: mathematics.
The group of educational contents of this field of study covers among others: theory of elasticity and plasticity, building dynamics, complex concrete and metal installations, special foundations, computational methods, construction ventures management.

Both first and second cycle degree programme students may expand their interests in the activities of student scientific organizations and they can actively participate in student contests in the country and abroad.
The faculty is prepared to conduct activities of the full – time programmes in the English language. At present, abroad students who are studying at our university under the auspices of international student scholarship exchange programme Erasmus+ are having classes presented in the English language. Numerous students of the construction department undertake a semester or even a year at one of 150 partner universities abroad under the auspices of scholarship exchange Erasmus+ each year.
